Love in the Security Zone at Center Stage


The Boomerang Theatre Company presents Love in the Security Zone, by Mike Folie, opening at Center Stage on 19 Sep 2006, following previews from 9 Sep and running through to 30 Sep 2006.

The play is being presented in rotating repertory with Anna Christie by Eugene O'Neill and The Ugly Man by Brad Fraser.

Love in the Security Zone: In a future U.S. characterized by Security Zones, personal bar code tattoos, and armed commuters, Gayle finds life either boring or terrifying. Her mood is improved by a sudden romance with Hank, a secretive government agent on a mission to find very happy women. When Hank meets Gayle�s sister, the perennially happy Pearl, he spirits both women off to Washington, D.C., where they become entangled in a sinister government plot to bottle happiness.

Directed by Rachel Wood, Love in the Security Zone features Trevor Davis, Jodi Dick, Catherine Dowling, John C. Fitzmaurice, Justin R. G. Holcomb, Alisha R. Spielmann.

Costumes by Cheryl McCarron and sound by Ann Warren.
