Here lies Lea! Tony Award winner Lea Salonga will join the cast of Here Lies Love, which makes its Broadway premiere at the Broadway Theatre this summer from June 17.

Here Lies Love is a disco-pop musical about Philippine leaders Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos, from their rise to power to their fall at the hands of the People Power Revolution. Salonga, who is also a producer on the musical, will play Aurora Aquino, the mother of revolution leader Ninoy Aquino. Her character performs the song “Just Ask The Flowers.”

Salonga will perform in Here Lies Love from July 11 to August 13. After she departs, various guest stars from the Philippines will perform the role.

Salonga won a Tony Award at age 20 for her Broadway-debut role as Kim in Miss Saigon, which also played the Broadway Theatre in 1991. She is also known for roles in Les Misérables, Allegiance, and Once On This Island.

Who is in the Here Lies Love Broadway cast?
