Krankenhaus Blues at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre

Visible Theatre presents Krankenhaus Blues, by Sam Forman, opening at the Abingdon Theatre Company's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre on 8 Oct 2006, following previews from 5 Oct and running through to 5 Nov 2006.

In Krankenhaus Blues, a playwright, an actress and a clown are locked in a Nazi asylum for reasons beyond their comprehension. Moving between 1930s Berlin and present day New York City, the characters make great efforts to connect with each other as they confront their existentially bleak surroundings.

Directed by Donna Mitchell, Krankenhaus Blues features Christine Bruno (Anka, an actress), Bill Green (Bruno, the playwright), Joe Sims (Fritz, a clown) and Angela DeMatteo (as a nurse). Set and costume design is by Kimi Maeda, with lighting by Paul Jepson.
