Although we can't attend live performances for the foreseeable future, there's still plenty of opportunities to see Broadway musicals on screens. Fathom Events will present a selection of musicals at cinemas across the United States, with more information on participating venues here.

On November 21, audiences can watch the West End revival of 42nd Street, filmed at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane. A cast of over 50 star in the production, following Peggy Sawyer, a plucky actress who gets her big break on Broadway. In a review on our sister site LondonTheatre.co.uk, "This is a show that will certainly tap your troubles away and leaves you beaming from the inside out. Infectious musical theatre joy of the highest calibre."

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, cinemas will be presenting the 1982 film adaptation of Annie. Starring Bernadette Peters and Tim Curry, the classic musical tells of Annie, a young orphan whose life changes in an instant.

Inspired by William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Stand! will be presented in theaters on December 1. Set during the 1919 Winnipeg general strike, immigrants look towards a better future and to reunite their family. Marshall Williams, Laura Slade Wiggins and Gregg Henry star in Stand!

Filmed in London, Kinky Boots will be available to watch in cinemas from December 6 - 11. Featuring original music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, the musical sees Charlie Price, a shoe factory owner help a local drag act, transforming their lives.

Relive Topol's career-defining performance as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof from December 13 - 14. Set in a small Ukrainian village, a Jewish community is rocked when outside influences are determined to change their livelihoods.

Buttons: A Christmas Tale will round off the season of musical films, in theaters on December 17. Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury star in the holiday tale, following two orphans who just want a home for Christmas.
