Jollyship the Whiz-Bang at Ars Nova Theate

Ars Nova presents Jollyship the Whiz-Bang, created by writer Nick Jones with music by the band Jollyship the Whiz-Bang, opening at the Ars Nova Theater on 4 Jun 2008, following previews from 14 May and running through to 28 Jun 2008.

Jollyship the Whiz-Bang: The ship is sinking, the captain's a drunk and the band is on the verge of mutiny. Braving treacherous seas and murderous waves on a quest for the wonders of Party Island, Captain Clamp and crew undertake a ribald and rum-soaked nautical journey in this underground pirate-puppet-rock odyssey!

Directed by Sam Gold, Jollyship the Whiz-Bang, features Raja Azar, Steven Boyer, Keith Fredrickson, Daniel Kutcher, Julie Lake and Jesse Wallace.

The creative team comprises Donyale Werle (sets), Emily Rebholz (costume) and Ben Stanton(lighting.
