J. Quinton Johnson debuts in Hamilton on B'way tonight
J. Quinton Johnson will make his Broadway debut tonight, taking on the dual role of James Madison and Hercules Mulligan in the Broadway production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Original cast member Okieriete Onaodowan played his final performance in the roles on 24 December 2016.
J. Quinton Johnson has previously appeared on screen in 2016's "Everybody Wants Some!!" and also completed work last year on the upcoming TV remake of "Dirty Dancing" and Amazon's "Last Flag Flying."
As previously announced, Bryan Terrell Clark will begin performances as George Washington on January 10, Taran Killam begins as King George on January 17, and Anthony Lee Medina as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton in March.
The current cast of Hamilton includes Javier Muñoz (Alexander Hamilton), two-time Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Aaron Burr), Lexi Lawson (Eliza Hamilton), Mandy Gonzalez (Angelica Schuyler), Seth Stewart (Marques de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Jordan Fisher (John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), J. Quinton Johnson (James Madison/Hercules Mulligan), Alysha Deslorieux (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), Rory O'Malley (King George) and Michael Luwoye (Alternate Alexander Hamilton).
The Broadway production of Hamilton officially opened on 6 August 2015 to excellent reviews, following previews from 13 July, and is currently booking through to 5 November 2017.
Hamilton features a book, music, and lyrics by Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, and is inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow.

Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail, with music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
Hamilton is produced on Broadway by The Public Theater, Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs and Jill Furman.
