Human, by Chazz Palminteri, to bow on Broadway

Scott and Brian Zeilinger have announced that Human, a new play by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri ('A Bronx Tale'), will premiere on Broadway in the 2013-14 Season.

A reading of the dark comedy will be held in NYC on 7 Sep 2012, directed by Jerry Zaks, the cast will feature Chazz Palminteri, Evan Jonigkeit, Sophie Monk (Date Movie), Tony Award nominee Jeremy Shamos (Clybourne Park) and Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite).

A chance encounter on a Central Park bench thrusts two diametrically opposed men into the fight for their lives in Human, a darkly comic play that proves that crime, whether on Wall Street or the mean streets, ain't no walk in the park.

Chazz Palminteri was nominated for an Oscar for his role as "Cheech" in the 1994 Woody Allen film "Bullets Over Broadway." Palminteri made his Broadway debut in his own one-man show, 'A Bronx Tale,' which was also helmed by multi-Tony Award winning director Jerry Zaks ('The House of Blue Leaves ,' 'Lend Me a Tenor,' 'Six Degrees of Separation' and 'Guys and Dolls').
