Heartless extends run while in previews

Signature Theatre's world premiere production of Sam Shepard's Heartless, currently in previews has extended its run at the Signature Center's Irene Diamond Stage by two weeks, and will now play through to 30 Sep 2012.

The drama began previews at the Irene Diamond Stage on 7 Aug 2012, where it opens on 27 Aug 2012. The production was originally scheduled to close on 16 Sep 2012.

Directed by Daniel Aukin, the cast features Jenny Bacon, Gary Cole, Betty Gilpin, Julianne Nicholson and Lois Smith.

Heartless: Sally lives with her mysterious family in a cavernous home overlooking Los Angeles. When a visitor arrives, Sally's dark secrets - and the secrets of those around her - threaten to come into the light.

The design team includes Eugene Lee (Scenic Designer), Kaye Voyce (Costume Designer), Tyler Micoleau (Lighting Designer) and Eric Shimelonis (Sound Designer).
