'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' names new Broadway cast joining Tom Felton
Alongside the Harry Potter film star, multiple actors from the award-winning play's U.S. tour will join the New York production at the Lyric Theatre in November.
New casting has been named for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway for performances at the Lyric Theatre beginning November 11. As previously announced, Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, will reprise his role in the stage play through May 10, 2026.
Also joining the cast on that date are John Skelley as Harry Potter, Emmet Smith as Albus Potter, and Aidan Close as Scorpius Malfoy. All come direct from Cursed Child's North American tour, and Smith and Close make their Broadway debuts, while Skelley was previously an original Cursed Child Broadway cast member. Additionally, current cast member Janae Hammond will step into the role of Rose Granger-Weasley.
Continuing principal cast members include Sarah Killough as Ginny Potter, Daniel Fredrick as Ron Weasley, Rachel Christopher as Hermione Granger, and Kristen Martin as Delphi Diggory.
Joining the ensemble are Darby Breedlove, Dani Goldberg, Alexis Gordon, Caleb Hafen, Samaria Nixon-Fleming, Kiaya Scott, and Maren Searle alongside current ensemble members Chadd Alexander, John Alix, Megan Byrne, James Cribbins, Ted Deasy, Gary-Kayi Fletcher, Logan James Hall, Chance Marshaun Hill, Zachary Lindberg, Jay Mack, Bradley Patchett, Alexandra Peter, Dan Plehal, Allie Re, Gabrielle Reid, Isaac Phaman Reynolds, Stephen Spinella, Tom Stephens. Khadija Tariyan, Baylen Thomas, Julius Williams, and Riley Thad Young.
A continuation of J. K. Rowling's acclaimed book and film series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child sees the next generation of wizards go on a time-traveling adventure — but when they accidentally mess with history, Harry and his friends must step in to save the Wizarding World once more.
Written by Jack Thorne and conceived by Thorne, Rowling, and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child won six Tony Awards, including Best Play, and is the third-longest-running Broadway play in history.
