'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' announces Broadway reopening cast

The play, newly condensed into one part, will resume performances at the Lyric Theatre November 12.

They're casting a spell over Broadway once again. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has announced the full cast for its Broadway reopening, which will be on November 12 at the Lyric Theatre.

Returning cast members include James Snyder as Harry Potter, Diane Davis as Ginny Potter, James Romney as Albus Potter; Jenny Jules as Hermione Granger, Nadia Brown as Rose Granger-Weasley, Aaron Bartz as Draco Malfoy, and Brady Dalton Richards as Scorpius Malfoy. David Abeles joins the cast as Ron Weasley,

The cast also includes Oge Agulué, Kevin Angulo, Chelsey Arce, Quinn Blades, Michela Cannon, Will Carlyon, Lauren Nicole Cipoletti, Judith Lightfoot Clarke, Ted Deasy, Kira Fath, Stephanie Gomérez, Steve Haggard, Ben Horner, Edward James Hyland, Jax Jackson, Jack Koenig, Spencer LaRue, Rachel Leslie, Sarita Amani Nash, Alexandra Peter, Dan Piering, Kevin Matthew Reyes, William Rhem, Antoinette Robinson, Stephen Spinella, Tom Stephens, Maya Thomas, and Karen Janes Woditsch.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child follows the next generation of the Wizarding World. J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany's new story occurs when the original Golden Trio — Harry, Ron, and Hermione — are grown, and their children are attending Hogwarts. They travel through time in a quest to stop the forces of evil that still linger years after the Battle of Hogwarts was won.

The show was originally presented on Broadway in two parts, but it will reopen as a one-part play.
