Grinch, by Desi Moreno-Penson, at Urban Stages


The Immediate Theater Company presents Grinch, by Desi Moreno-Penson, at Urban Stages from the 14 Apr - 7 May 2006.

Based on a true kidnapping, Grinch is a gothic tale about a couple in the Bronx who kidnaps a twelve year old girl and keeps her in their basement in a misguided attempt at creating a family. The little girl however has other ideas. Protected by her terrifying and perhaps not-so-imaginary friend Grinch, yes that Grinch but more ghoulish, a battle of wills ensue pitting faith, family and politic against each other.

Grinch's cast, directed by Jos� Zayas, features Desi Moreno-Penson, Paula Ehrenberg and Miguel Sierra.

The production has set design by Ryan Elliot Kravetz, costumesn by Mel Haley, lighting by Jorge Arroyo and sound by David Lawson.
