The musical resumes performances at the Belasco Theatre October 13.
Girl From the North Country has announced its full reopening cast, with many of the pre-pandemic performers returning to their roles. The musical, based on the songs of Bob Dylan, reopens October 13 at the Belasco Theatre.
Returning cast members include Todd Almond, Jeannette Bayardelle, Jennifer Blood, Matthew Frederick Harris, Caitlin Houlahan (currently playing Dawn in Waitress through October 3), Robert Joy, Tony Award nominee Marc Kudisch, Luba Mason, Ben Mayne, Matt McGrath, Tom Nelis, Jay O. Sanders, John Schiappa, Austin Scott, Kimber Elayne Sprawl, Rachel Stern, Chiara Trentalange, Bob Walton, Chelsea Lee Williams, and two-time Emmy Award winner Mare Winningham.
Joining the cast are Colin Bates as Gene Laine, as well as Alex Joseph Grayson, Housso Semon, Edward Staudenmayer, and Anastasia Talley as swings.
Girl From the North Country uses 19 of Dylan's songs to drive an original story about a family in Depression-era Minnesota. They own an inn, and the family and the inn's guests all find themselves at a turning point in their lives as their worlds collide. They dream of hope amid financial and personal struggles, expressing their desires through music. Dylan's songs are arranged as rousing solo and group numbers and accompanied by instruments from the 1930s.
Girl From the North Country tickets are on sale now.
