Producer Martin Platt released the following statement:

"It's been a great joy for us to bring Ed Dixon's remarkable performance in Georgie to New York. The outpouring of enthusiasm for Georgie from those in and out of the industry has been rewarding for all of us on the producing team, but most importantly for Mr. Dixon, whose life and friendship with George Rose is the core of this play. We look forward to sharing Georgie with a broader audience across America over the next two years, starting this coming August."

Synopsis: "Ed Dixon recounts his own tale of how he came to know and admire George Rose over a twenty-year friendship until the unimaginable changed everything. Georgie introduces us to the greatest stars of the London and Broadway stage with laughs and surprises, tantalizing anecdotes, and flashes of song and dance. An amazing journey for all who love theater."

Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose is directed and designed by Eric Schaeffer, with lighting design by Chris Lee.

Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose is produced off-Broadway by Martin Platt and David Elliott, with Mary Cossette, Jamie deRoy, Riki Kane Larimer, Richard Winkler, and Mike Blank.
