The New Group has now announced complete casting for its forthcoming New York premiere of Good for Otto, written by David Rabe and directed by Scott Elliott, which is set to begin previews at the Pershing Square Signature Center's Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre on February 20, 2018, before an official opening on March 8 and a limited engagement through to April 1, 2018.

Joining previously announced cast members Ed Harris (as Dr. Michaels), Amy Madigan (as Evangeline), F. Murray Abraham (as Barnard), Rileigh McDonald (as Frannie), Rosie O'Donnell (as Nora), and Michael Rabe (as Jimmy) will be Kate Buddeke (as Jane), Laura Esterman (as Mrs. Garland), Nancy Giles (as Marci), Lily Gladstone (as Denise), Charlotte Hope (as Mom), Mark Linn-Baker (as Timothy), Kenny Mellman (as Jerome), and Maulik Pancholy (as Alex).

Synopsis: "Through the microcosm of a rural Connecticut mental health center, Good for Otto conjures a whole American community on the edge. Like their patients and their families, Dr. Michaels, his colleague Evangeline and the clinic itself teeter between breakdown and survival, wielding dedication and humanity against the cunning, inventive adversary of mental illness, to hold onto the need to fight - and to live. Inspired by a real clinic, David Rabe finds humor and compassion in a raft of richly drawn characters adrift in a society and a system stretched beyond capacity."

The creative team behind Good for Otto has also been announced and features scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Jeff Mahshie, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen.

The New Group's next off-Broadway production - Jerry Springer - The Opera - begins performances at the Pershing Square Signature Center on January 23 and runs through to March 11, 2018.
