Fuerza Bruta to close after six year run

After a six year Off-Broadway run at the Daryl Roth Theatre the theatrical entertainment show Fuerza Bruta, created by Diqui James, will play its final performance on 05 Jan 2014. When the show closes it will have played more than 2,000 performances.

Fuerza Bruta opened at the Daryl Roth Theatre on 24 Oct 2007, following previews from 11 Oct, for what was originally scheduled to be an 18 week run.

Fuerza Bruta is described by the producers as "an event where worlds collide, dreams are real and reality takes a back seat. Set in vigorous motion, the visuals include a man running full throttle through a series of moving walls, individuals racing to connect from opposite sides of a whirling sail and performers frolic and interact in a watery world suspended just above the audience. The action is set to a dynamic soundtrack that spans percussive beats, engaging melodies and hypnotic ambient music."

The show, produced by S2BN Entertainment, currently features Katie Book, Angela Buccinni, Alvaro Colom, Hannah Corbin, Kim Fischer, Kendell Hinds, Michele Jongeneel, Liam Lane, Danny De Mantos, Brooke Miyasaki, Julie Nelson, Ryan Shaefer, Holly Shunkey, Dario Vaccaro and Ali Vesey.

Fuerza Bruta premiered in Buenos Aires in 2005. The show has been performed in Cordoba, Bogota, Queretaro, Miami, Chicago, Lisbon, Bilbao, Berlin, Moscow, London, Edinburgh, Antwerp and Madrid.
