'Flyer'at the Bank Street Theatre

3Graces Theater Co presents Flyer, by Kate Aspengren, at the Bank Street Theatre. The play opens on the 23 Oct 2005, following previews from the 21 Oct and running through to the 6 Nov 2005.

Flyer tells the story of Fran Douglas, one of an elite corps of pilots being trained by NASA in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Some of these pilots had more flight experience than John Glenn and the other pilots of Project Mercury, but none would soar into space -- they were women, and this is their story.

The cast for Flyer, directed by Karen Sommers, features: Annie McGovern (Fran), John Kaisner (Jerry / John Glenn), Paul de Cordova (Orville Wright), Cherelle Cargill (Bessie Coleman), Dorothy Abrahams, Elizabeth Bunnell, Richard Ferrone, Brian McFadden, Chelsea Silverman and Hal Smith-Reynolds.

Flyer has set design by Michael Kramer, costumes by Sylvie Marc-Charles, lighting by Cris Dopher and sound by John D. Ivy.
