Eurydice extends its run through to 26 Aug


Second Stage Theatre has announced that it will extend its production of Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice, directed by Les Waters, for a third time - the drama will now play through to 26 Aug 2007.

The production opened at Second Stage Theatre on 18 Jun, following reviews from 30 May, and was originally scheduled to end on 21 July 2007, it then extended through to 28 Jul 2007, then through to 12 Aug, and has now extended for a further two weeks.

Eurydice: Re-imagines the classic myth of Orpheus and Eurydice through the eyes of its heroine. When she abruptly dies on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey through the underworld, reunite with her father and struggle to retain the memories of her lost love.

The cast features Maria Dizzia (Eurydice), Gian-Murray Gianino (Loud Stone), Carla Harting (Little Stone), Ramiz Monsef (Big Stone), Joseph Parks (Orpheus), Charles Shaw Robinson (Father) and Mark Zeisler (Nasty/Interesting Man).

Set design by Scott Bradley, costumes by Meg Neville, lighting by Russell H. Champa and sound by Bray Poor.
