Ethan Slater and more to star in 'Marcel on the Train' off Broadway
The Wicked film and Broadway star plays the title role in a new drama, which he also co-wrote, telling the story of how a famous French mime became a hero.

Classic Stage Company has set initial casting for its 2026 production of Marcel on the Train, running from February 5 to March 15. Opening night is February 22.
Joining previously announced Wicked star Ethan Slater as Marcel Marceau are Julie Benko as Berthe, Maddie Corman as Etiennette, Max Gordon Moore as Adolphe, Aaron Serotsky as The Man, and Alex Wyse as Henri. Additional casting has yet to be announced.
Co-written by Slater and Marshall Pailet, who also directs, Marcel on the Train tells the true story of the world-famous mime who guided Jewish children to safety in in Nazi-occupied France during World War II.
Marcel on the Train also features set design by Scott Davis, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by Brandon Stirling Baker, and sound design by Jill BC Du Boff.
