'Duet' at the Shelter Annex


Mackwell Productions presents DUET: 2 one-act plays at the Shelter Annex from 30 Nov - 8 Dec 2007.

The two plays are:

  • Sunrise
    Written by Tommy Smith
    Directed by Portia Krieger
    Set design by Mark Erbaugh
    Lighting by Todd Nonn
    Synopsis: Follows the reclusive Blattys, whose lonely lives are interrupted when a mysterious stranger visits the couple's home, threatening to uncover a dark secret from their dirty past.
    Cast: Teddy Bergman, Ben Beckley and Jocelyn Kuritsky.

  • Good Thing
    Written by Terry Diamond
    Directed by Maggie Burkle
    Set design by Jake France
    Lighting by Todd Nonn
    Synopsis: Based on Anton Chekhov's short story, 'The Witch.' He thinks she's a witch who controls the weather. She thinks he's a useless slacker who's ruined the family business. A dangerously isolated couple, Samuel and Rita Gykin, try to reconcile their failing marriage in the middle of a blizzard.
    Cast: Michael Bernstein, Brenda Crawley, and Tammy Tunyavongs.
