Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! returns for holidays



The family holdiday musical Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is returning to New York to play a limited enagement at The Theater at Madison Square Garden from 13 - 30 Dec 2012.

In Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! both the Grinch and the Who's learn the true meaning of Chriatmas. The show includes two songs from the 1966 Grinch film: 'You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch' and 'Welcome Christmas.'

Featuring book and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music by Mel Marvin, the musical will once again be directed by Matt August, who previously helmed the musical on Broadway at during the Xmas holidays in 2006 and 2007. Choreograpjy will be by Bob Richard based on the original choreography by John DeLuca from the Broadway productions.

Casting and creative team for the musical are still to be announced.

The show was conceived and created by Jack O'Brien, and is based on the 1957 christmas story by Dr. Seuss of the same name.
