Vineyard Theatre has set its 2023-24 Off-Broadway season, consisting of one fall play and one spring play. Both will be performed at the company's eponymous venue on East 15th Street near Union Square.

The fall production is the world premiere of Scene Partners, starring two-time Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest. She plays Meryl, a 75-year-old woman who moves from Milwaukee to Los Angeles to become a movie star. Hadestown Tony Award winner Rachel Chavkin directs this new show by John J. Caswell, Jr., who was represented off Broadway earlier this year with Wet Brain.

Scene Partners plays from October 26 to December 3, with opening night on November 12.

The New York stage premiere of Sarah Gancher's Russian Troll Farm: A Workplace Comedy will kick off the spring season. Vineyard and Dori Berinstein/Dramatic Forces co-present the show, which premiered virtually in 2020. The play is set at the real-life Internet Research Agency in St. Petersburg, where workers manipulate social media to spread Russian interests worldwide. This "office comedy meets political satire" follows the daily happenings, romances, and dramas that occur among the workers during an otherwise fraught time: the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.

Darko Tresnjak directs Russian Troll Farm, which runs from January 25 to March 3. Opening night is February 8.
