The Public Theater has confirmed casting for the previously announced world premiere of Eve's Song, which will now run from October 21 (instead of October 23) through to December 2, 2018 at the Public's LuEsther Hall, with an official opening scheduled for November 7.

The cast of Eve's Song includes (in alphabetical order) De'Adre Aziza (as Deborah), Karl Green (as Mark), Ashley D. Kelley (as Upendo), Vernice Miller (as Spirit Dancer), Kadijah Raquel (as Lauren), Rachel Watson-Jih (as Spirit Dancer), and Tamara M. Williams (as Spirit Dancer).

Eve's Song was developed in residence at The Public Theater by the Tow Playwright-in-Residence Patricia Ione Lloyd and is directed by Jo Bonney.

Synopsis: "Eve's Song is a stunning, genre-bending new drama about the haunting of a black family in America. In the aftermath of a messy divorce and a daughter coming out as queer, Deborah is trying to keep things normal at home. But as black people continue to be killed beyond their four walls, the outside finds its way in, blurring the lines between family dynamics, politics, and the spirit world. How long can family dinners keep the dangers outside at bay? Filled with dark humor and boiling suspense, Eve's Song examines our present racial climate through the eyes of a regular American family."

The creative team behind Eve's Song has also been announced and features scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Emilio Sosa, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, sound design by Elisheba Ittoop, projection design by Hana S. Kim, and movement direction by Stefanie Batten Bland.

Eve's Song Tickets are available now for performances from October 21 through to December 2, 2018.
