Dante's Hope at St. Joseph's Church


The Blackfriars Repertory Theatre presents Dante's Hope, by Harry Cornelius Cronin, at St. Joseph's Church from 4 - 13 Apr 2008.

Dante's Hope: An adaptation of a medieval miracle story transposed to the present day in which the Blessed Virgin Mary (Our Lady of Guadalupe) contends with the devil (a mariachi band member) for the soul of a dead Mexican gang leader in present-day Los Angeles.

Directed by Peter John Cameron, Dante's Hope features Jessica Angleskhan, Isaac Cruz, Maureen Dowdell, Adam Jess La Faci, George Lugo, Janice Picconi, Kelly Swartz, Katherine Tamariz, Danielle Tolles and Christopher Zorker.

Costume design is by Maureen Hough.
