Daniel Breaker is Hamilton's next Aaron Burr
The Broadway cast of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award-winning smash hit musical Hamilton will welcome Tony nominee Daniel Breaker as Aaron Burr from August 29, 2017, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Current cast member and two-time Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon will play his final performance in the role on August 13.
Mr. Breaker has been playing the role of Aaron Burr in the Chicago company of 'Hamilton' since April 11, 2017. He will play his final performance in Chicago on August 20.
Daniel Breaker earned a Tony nomination in 2008 for his performance in 'Passing Strange.' Other Broadway credits include 'The Performers,' 'The Book of Mormon,' 'Shrek The Musical,' 'Cymbeline,' and 'Well.' On screen, he is perhaps best known for his role as Virgil on "Mozart in the Jungle."
The current cast of Hamilton includes Javier Muñoz (Alexander Hamilton), two-time Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Aaron Burr), Lexi Lawson (Eliza Hamilton), Mandy Gonzalez (Angelica Schuyler), Bryan Terrell Clark (George Washington), Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart (Marques de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Anthony Lee Medina (John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), J. Quinton Johnson (James Madison/Hercules Mulligan), and Alysha Deslorieux (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds).
As previously announced, Tony nominee Euan Morton will begin performances as King George III on July 28, 2017.
The Broadway production of Hamilton officially opened on August 6, 2015 to excellent reviews, following previews from July 13, and is currently booking through to March 4, 2018.
Hamilton features a book, music, and lyrics by Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, and is inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow.

Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail, with music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
Hamilton is produced on Broadway by The Public Theater, Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs and Jill Furman.
