Broadway alum Colin Hanlon is set to take over the role of Steven in the Broadway premiere of In Transit at the Circle in the Square from 10 January 2017. Original cast member Telly Leung has sadly departed the show for a leave of absence due to an unexpected personal family obligation. It is so far unclear when Mr. Leung will be able to return to the production.

Colin Hanlon previously appeared on Broadway in 'Rent' and is currently understudying Marvin, Whizzer and Mendel in the Lincoln Center revival of 'Falsettos.' Off-Broadway credits include 'Dot' at the Vineyard Theatre, along with 'I Love You Because' and 'Pirates of Penzance.' He also starred as Fiyero in the National Tour of 'Wicked,' and as Steven in TV's "Modern Family."

In Transit, billed as "Broadway's First A Cappella Musical," directed and choreographed by three-time Tony winner Kathleen Marshall, began previews at Broadway's Circle in the Square on 10 November 2016 and officially opened on 11 December. The show is currently booking through to June 25th, 2017.

In Transit features a book, music & lyrics by Academy Award winner Kristen Anderson-Lopez, James-Allen Ford, Russ Kaplan & Sara Wordsworth, along with vocal Arrangements by Deke Sharon and musical supervision by Rick Hip-Flores.

Synopsis: "Featuring an a cappella score from the talents behind Frozen and Pitch Perfect, In Transit is a new, modern musical bringing to life a vivid tapestry of characters and music in the city that never sleeps...or stands still. Inspired by the vibrant rhythms of life on the subway, In Transit follows the intertwining lives of eleven New Yorkers, all hoping to catch the express train to success, love and happiness...and the stops they make along the way."

The cast of In Transit includes (in alphabetical order) David Abeles (Dave), Moya Angela (Momma/Mrs. Williams/Booth Lady), Steven 'Heaven' Cantor (Boxman), Justin Guarini (Trent), Erin Mackey (Ali), Gerianne Pérez (Kathy), Margo Seibert (Jane), James Snyder (Nate), Mariand Torres (Nina) and Nicholas Ward (Chris), with Adam Bashian, Chesney Snow, Laurel Harris and Aurelia Williams.

The creative team behind In Transit has also been announced and features scenic design by Tony winner Donyale Werle, costume design by Tony winner Clint Ramos, lighting design by Tony winner Donald Holder and sound design by Ken Travis.

In Transit, which previously staged its New York premiere at Primary Stages in 2010, is produced on Broadway by Janet B. Rosen for Six Train Productions.
