New York Theatre Workshop has announced casting for its forthcoming production of five-time Obie Award winner Caryl Churchill's Light Shining in Buckinghamshire, directed by Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin, which begins previews on April 18, 2018, ahead of an official opening on May 7 and a limited engagement through to May 27, 2018.
The cast of Light Shining in Buckinghamshire includes Vinie Burrows, Rob Campbell, Matthew Jeffers, Mikéah Ernest Jennings, Gregg Mozgala, and Evelyn Spahr.
Synopsis: "In 1647 England, power is shifting and, amid the chaos and confusion, revolutionaries across the country are dreaming of a new future."
The creative team behind Light Shining in Buckinghamshire features original music and music direction by Orion Johnstone, scenic design by Riccardo Hernández, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Mikaal Sulaiman, and props by Noah Mease.
New York Theatre Workshop's current production of An Ordinary Muslim, written by Hammaad Chaudry and directed by Obie Award winner Jo Bonney, continues its limited run off-Broadway through to March 25, 2018.
