Bunnicula announces complete cast

Off-Broadway's DR2 Kids Theatre continues its partnership with Theatreworks USA to present "Rabbit Season" at the DR2 Kids Theatre. "Rabbit Season" features live stage productions for families at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre.

The season kicked off last fall with a ten-week production of the new stage play based on the beloved children's tale, 'The Velveteen Rabbit.'

"Rabbit Season" continues this February with Bunnicula: A Rabbit Tale of Musical Mystery, featuring a book by New York playwright and Tony Award nominee Charles Busch (The Tale of the Allergist's Wife), music by Sam Davis and lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Mark Waldrop (When Pigs Fly).

The musical comedy opens at DR2 Theatre on 10 Feb 2013, following one preview on 9 Feb 2013, and will play a ten-week limited engagement through to 14 Apr 2013.

The Off-Broadway cast of Bunnicula: A Rabbit Tale of Musical Mystery features Abe Goldfarb as 'Mr. Monroe,' Erin Maguire as 'Mrs. Monroe,' Ashley Campana as 'Debbie,' John Garry as 'Toby,' Prescott Seymour as 'Chester' and Robert Anthony Jones as 'Harold.'

Bunnicula: Lock up your lettuce! Protect your parsley! Rescue your rutabaga! One dark and stormy night, the Monroe family brings home orphaned rabbit with mysterious habits... and sharp fangs. Could this new member of the family possibly be a vampire bunny?

Based on the children's book series by Deborah & James Howe, this new musical adaptation of Bunnicula: is directed by Carl Andress (The Divine Sister) and choreographed by Connor Gallagher. The show is recommended for ages four and up.

The production features musical direction by Erik Kang, scenic design by Rob Odorisio, costume design by Gregory Gale, lighting design by Kirk Bookman and orchestrations by Greg Pliska.

Abe Goldfarb's (Mr. Monroe) Favorite roles include the 'Frontman' in 'Hostage Song,' 'Pistol' in 'Henry V,' 'Tiger Brown' in 'The Threepenny Opera,' and 'Jaques' in 'As You Like It.'

Erin Maguire's (Mrs. Monroe) NYC credits: 'Forbidden Broadway SVU,' 'Five Course Love' and 'Flight of the Lawnchair Man.' She has appeared in national tours of 'Seussical,' 'NEWSical' and 'Forbidden Broadway.'

Ashley Campana's (Debbie) credits include: First national tour of Disney's 'High School Musical.' NY/Regional: 'The Awesome 80's Prom,'' Baby,' 'Terms of Dismemberment' and 'Don't Hug Me.'

John Garry (Toby) has appeared in the national tour of Spamalot. His regional credits include: '...Spelling Bee,' 'Gypsy,' 'Beauty and the Beast' and the premiere of 'A Wind in the Willows Christmas.'

Prescott Seymour (Chaester) toured with Bunnicula this past fall. He has appeared in Theatreworks USA: 'Seussical (Cat in the Hat),' and in Disney's 'Villains Tonight!' (Original Cast) created by Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen.

Robert Anthony Jones (Harold) NY Credits include: 'The 101 Dalmatians Musical' (Broadway Across America-Madison Square Garden), 'The Drowsy Chaperone' (Gallery Players), 'The Prince and the Pauper' (Original Off-Broadway Cast). Regional Credits: 'A Christmas Carol,' 'Sweeney Todd' and 'Chicago.'
