Bukowsical! at Bleecker Street Theatre

The See You Next Tuesday Company presents Bukowsical!, book and lyrics by Spencer Green, with music and lyrics by Gary Stockdale, at the Bleecker Street Theatre from 11 - 18 Aug 2007 as part of FringeNYC.

Bukowsical!: Traces the life of famed writer Charles Bukowski from obscurity to international fame, starting with Buk's early torment by students, teachers and his Father. After a soul-deadening job in a 'Post Office,' Buk's work is discovered and he is soon hanging out with celebrities like Mickey Rourke and Sean Penn. But will he stay true to his literary ideals or sell out? And will he be too drunk to notice?

Directed by Joe Peracchio and choreographed by Leanne Fonteyn, Bukowsical! features Brad Blaisdell, Fleur Phillips, Lauren Rubin, Nadia Ahern, Jennifer Blake, Marc Cardiff, Matthew Garland, Ian Gould, Michael Lanahan and Cason Murphy.

The msical has costumes designed by Gelareh Khalioun.
