Breakfast at Tiffany's announces complete cast



The complete cast has been announced for the world premiere of Pulitzer Prize nominee and Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new stage adaptation of Truman Capote's novella Breakfast at Tiffany's, directed by Sean Mathias, opening at the Cort Theatre 20 Mar 2013, following previews from 04 Mar 2013.

Completing the cast are Suzanne Bertish, Danny Binstock, Pedro Carmo, Elisabeth Anthony Gray, Murphy Guyer, Eddie Korbich, Paolo Montalban, Kate Cullen Roberts, John Rothman, Tony Torn, Lee Wilkof and James Yaegashi.

They join the previously announced Emilia Clarke (HBO's "Game of Thrones") who is making her Broadway debut in the iconic role of 'Holly Golightly,' Cory Michael Smith who is makling his Broadway debut starring as 'Fred' and six-times Emmy Award nominee George Wendt ("Cheers") as 'Joe Bell.'

Breakfast at Tiffany's is set in New York City in 1943. 'Fred', a young writer from Louisiana, meets Holly Golightly (Clarke), a charming, vivacious and utterly elusive good-time girl. Everyone falls in love with Holly - including Fred. But Fred is poor, and Holly's other suitors include a playboy millionaire and the future president of Brazil. As war rages on in Europe, Holly begins to fall in love with Fred - just as her past catches up with her.

The creative team for Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's includes sets by Derek McLane, costumes byColleen Atwood, lighting by Peter Kaczorowski and sound design by Rob Milburn & Michael Bodeen.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is being produced on Broadway by Colin Ingram Productions Limited, Donovan Mannato and Dominic Ianno.

In 1961 Paramount Pictures relased a movie adaptation of Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's starring Audrey Hepburn as 'Holly Golightly' for which she was nominated for an Oscar Award. The movie featured a screenplay by George Axelrod and was directed by Blake Edwards.
