The 2010 Brits Off-Broadway festival presents the US premiere of Waterloo East Theatre's production of Being Sellers, by Carl Caulfield, opening at 59E59's Theater C on 28 Nov 2010, following previews from 23 Nov and running through to 12 Dec 2010.

Being Sellers: Peter Sellers was celebrated for his ability to transform himself completely into his characters - from Chief Inspector Clouseau to Doctor Strangelove. But who was he and what was the personal cost of his comic genius?

Carl Caulfield (playwright) has spent his life in the theater as playwright, director, dramaturg, and actor. For 20 years, he lived in Australia where he was a Lecturer in Drama at the University of Newcastle and was a co-director; with his wife Felicity Biggins, of Stray Dogs Theatre Company. He recently returned to the UK and is now Senior Lecturer in Dramatic Scriptwriting at Edge Hill University. His plays include: 'Indecent Obsessions,' 'Dante's Dream,' 'Human Resources,' 'The True Phoenix,' 'The Caper,' 'Shakespeare's Fools' and 'The Mystery of Roger Mullaney.' His new play, '2039,' a dystopian thriller, will be produced by Tantrum Youth Theatre in Newcastle in November.
