Bad Jews extends for a second time

The Roundabout Theatre Company have announced a second one-week extension of their Off-Broadway production of of Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews, which will now play through to 29 Dec 2013.

Bad Jews opened at the Laura Pels Theatre on 03 Oct 213, following previews from 19 Sep 2013, and was originally scheuled to close on 15 Dec 2013.

Directed by Daniel Aukins, the cast of Bad Jews features Tracee Chimo (Daphna), Molly Ranson (Melody), Philip Ettinger (Jonah) and Michael Zegen (Liam) .

Bad Jews tells the story of Daphna Feygenbaum, a 'Real Jew' with an Israeli boyfriend she met on Birthright. When Daphna's cousin Liam brings home his shiksa girlfriend Melody and declares ownership of their grandfather's Chai necklace, a vicious brawl over family, faith and legacy ensues.

The creative team features set design by Lauren Helpern, costumes by Dane Laffrey, lighting by Mark Barton and sound by Shane Rettig.

Bad Jews was first performed at the inaugural Roundabout Underground Reading Series in Feb 2012. The show opened at the Black Box Theatre on 30 Oct 2012, and played an extended engagement through to December 30, 2012.
