As You Like It adds additional performance

The 2012 Shakespeare in the Park production of As You Like It, directed by Daniel Sullivan, has added an extra performance to its schedule on 19 Jun 2012.

The play, which has been in previews from 5 Jun 2012, opens at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park on 21 Jun 2012 and closes on 30 Jun 2012.

As You Like It: Rosalind, and her boyfriend Orlando find themselves in the enchanted Forest of Arden, where all the world's a stage, and where sudden infatuation is as confusing as it is beautiful. Along with other 'country copulatives,' they discover that nothing transforms, redeems, or enriches experience quite as powerfully as love.

The cast features Andre Braugher (Duke Senior/Duke Frederick), MacIntyre Dixon (Adam), David Furr (Orlando), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Celia), Robert Joy (Le Beau, Lord), Omar Metwally (Oliver), Oliver Platt (Touchstone), Lily Rabe (Rosalind), Stephen Spinella (Jaques) and Brendan Titley (William) in principal roles.

The ensemble includes Grantham Coleman, Andrew Hovelson, Erik Mathew, Justine Salata, Paul Saylor and Anna Phyllis Smith.

The creative team features sets by John Lee Beatty, costumes by Jane Greenwood and sound by Acme Sound Partners.

The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary season, each year presents two theatrical productions for free at Central Park's Delacorte Theater. This year the productions are Shakespeare's As You Like it and Stephen Sondheim's and James Lapine's Tony Award winning musical Into the Woods.
