Amber Tamblyn to star in Vineyard's Can You Forgive Her?

The off-Broadway non-profit Vineyard Theatre has announced initial casting for the final production of the its 2016-2017 season. Golen Globe and Emmy nominee Amber Tamblyn will make her off-Broadway debut in the New York premiere of two-time Pulitzer Prize-finalist Gina Gionfriddo's comedy Can You Forgive Her?, directed by Peter DuBois, which begins previews on May 4, 2017, before an official opening on May 23 and a limited engagement through to June 11, 2017.

Ms. Tamblyn, who will take on the role of Miranda, is joined by fellow cast members Ella Dershowitz (Tanya), Darren Pettie (Graham) and Tony winner Frank Wood (David).

Amber Tamblyn is best known for her work in television and film, including her role as Joan Girardi in "Joan of Arcadia," for which she received Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations in 2004. Her other notable screen credits include "House M.D.," "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," "127 Hours," "Django Unchained" "Two and a Half Men," "The Ring," "Stephanie Daley" and "General Hospital."

Synopsis: "It's Halloween night, and Miranda is desperate for a way out. She's drowning in debt, may be falling for her sugar daddy, and is on the run from her date who has threatened to kill her. When she meets Graham and Tanya, a door opens, for all of them... but is what's beyond a treat or a trick? A story of complicated lost souls grappling with the costs of love, money, and the American Dream."

The creative team behind Can You Forgive Her? has also been announced and features scenic design by Allen Moyer, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Russell Champa and sound design by Daniel Kluger.

Additional casting for the production will be announced at a later date.
