Dear gentle readers, the wait is over: Season 4, part 2 of Bridgerton arrives in full splendor on February 26, inviting audiences back to the romance and ritual of the Regency era. Few series revel in pomp and pageantry quite like this Netflix show, where each social season hinges on Queen Charlotte’s decree of a “Diamond of the Season.”

The Regency era is inherently theatrical, with its luxurious fashion, high society etiquette, and lively dances. This season’s surprising “Diamond” is an acclaimed theatre actor with an impressive pedigree. Before capturing hearts as Benedict Bridgerton, Luke Thompson was captivating London audiences. In 2025, he appeared in An Oak Tree at London’s Young Vic, with fellow Bridgerton cast member Adjoa Andoh.

He made his professional debut as Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Shakespeare’s Globe and went on to appear in Blue Stockings, Julius Caesar, and The Broken Heart there. In London's West End, Thompson earned a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for his 2024 performance in A Little Life.

Yerin Ha

Yerin Ha, who plays Sophie Baek, season 4's mysterious silver ingénue, is an accomplished screen actor. But before appearing in the Paramount+ series Halo or in Dune: Prophecy, the Australian performer cut her teeth on stage.

One notable theatre credit is Jean Genet’s The Maids at London’s Donmar Warehouse, where, much like in Bridgerton, she portrayed a maid yearning to transcend her social station.

Jonathan Bailey

Theatre fans may recognize Jonathan Bailey — the eldest Bridgerton son, Anthony — as the heartthrob Fiyero in the Wicked films. He began his stage career as a child with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has starred in numerous London productions, from Shakespeare classics like Richard II to musicals like The Last Five Years and Company, which earned him an Olivier Award.

Next up: Bailey is set to appear in Sunday in the Park With George alongside his Wicked co-star Ariana Grande at London’s Barbican Theatre in 2027.

Regé-Jean Page

Regé-Jean Page, who played Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings and the central bachelor of season 1, may be gone from the Bridgerton storyline, but he’s hardly forgotten. Page's stage work includes The History Boys at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield and The Merchant of Venice at Shakespeare’s Globe. Page is set to return to the stage later this year in an adaptation of The Great Gatsby in the West End.

Golda Rosheuvel, who plays the fabulous Queen Charlotte, is a stalwart of the theatre. Her breakout role came in another regal turn, portraying the title character in Othello at the Liverpool Everyman Theatre.

She has an extensive history with the Royal Shakespeare Company, with credits including Julius Caesar and The Tempest. Other notable stage appearances include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in the West End and Romeo and Juliet at the National Theatre, where she took on a female Mercutio.

Currently, Rosheuvel virtually stars alongside Ian McKellan in the mixed-reality play An Ark at The Shed in New York, running through April 4.

Luke Newton

Season 3's leading man, Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton), made his stage debut as an understudy in the West End production of The Book of Mormon. He later appeared in The Shape of Things at London’s Park Theatre and, in 2025, made his Off-Broadway debut as iconic fashion designer Alexander McQueen in House of McQueen. He won a BroadwayWorld Off-Broadway Award for his performance.

Nicola Coughlan

Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington, stars in The Playboy of the Western World at the National Theatre in London through February 28. Her past London theatre credits include The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie at the Donmar Warehouse in 2018 and Jess and Joe Forever at the Old Vic in 2016.

Hannah Dodd is demure as Francesca Bridgerton, the sixth Bridgerton sibling exploring love and family in season 4. On stage, however, she’s far less restrained — in 2025, Dodd starred as nightclub headliner Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club in London.

Katie Leung

Katie Leung, who portrays the cunning Lady Araminta Gun in Bridgerton, may be best known to Harry Potter fans as Cho Chang. The Scottish actress also boasts a strong theatre pedigree, having appeared in the stage adaptation of Wild Swans at London’s Young Vic and later at the American Repertory Theater in the U.S.

In 2024, she starred in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’s The Comeuppance at London's Almeida Theatre. Leung’s U.K. stage work also includes performances with the National Theatre, Royal Court, and Royal Shakespeare Company.

Bessie Carter

As the social-climbing Prudence Featherington, Bessie Carter has a dramatic flair. Carter, a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, is also rooted in theatricality. Carter’s recent stage credits include Mrs. Warren’s Profession and Dear Octopus, both at London's National Theatre.

Victor Alli

Victor Alli, who plays Lord John Stirling, Francesca Bridgerton’s betrothed, is a graduate ofthe Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. His notable theatre work includes The Glass Menagerie in London's West End, where he starred alongside Amy Adams in 2022.

Adjoa Andoh

It’s no surprise that Adjoa Andoh, who plays the formidable Lady Danbury, comes from a rich theatre background. Andoh has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company in productions including Troilus and Cressida, Julius Caesar, Tamburlaine, and The Odyssey. She appeared in An Oak Tree at London’s Young Vic with fellow Bridgerton star Luke Thompson in 2025.

Other London stage credits include His Dark Materials, Stuff Happens, and The Revenger’s Tragedy at the National Theatre, among others. She is also an accomplished director, having directed and starred in the title roles of Richard II and Richard III at Liverpool Playhouse.

Ruth Gemmell

Ruth Gemmell shines as Lady Violet Bridgerton, the warm and approachable matriarch of the Bridgerton family. Among her notable stage roles is Lady Macduff in the Royal Shakespeare Company's Macbeth, and she has also performed at venerable U.K. venues like the Bush Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, and Salisbury Playhouse. Most recently, in 2018, Gemmell appeared in the U.K. premiere of Samuel D. Hunter’s The Whale at Ustinov Studio.

Oli Higginson

Oli Higginson portrays John, the Bridgerton family’s loyal and discreet footman. Higginson is equally devoted to his stage roots: he currently stars as Timothy Price in the musical American Psycho at the Almeida Theatre in London.

In 2025, he appeared as Claudio in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Measure for Measure. His theatre credits also include performances at Shakespeare’s Globe, Southwark Playhouse, and the Old Vic, among others.

Martins Imhangbe

Martins Imhangbe plays Will Mondrich, a former boxer and friend of the Duke of Hastings, in Bridgerton. Before his breakout screen work, the British‑Nigerian actor built a theatre career across the U.K.

Imhangbe’s stage credits include The Tragedy of Richard II at the Almeida Theatre (for which he earned an Ian Charleson Award commendation), Death of a Salesman at the Young Vic, and Absolute Hell at the National Theatre.

Emma Naomi

Like her Bridgerton character Alice Mondrich, Emma Naomi has a theatre background. She has worked extensively on stages across the U.K., with notable credits including Blithe Spirit, Pinter, and Don Juan in Soho in London's West End, and Dead Don’t Floss at the National Theatre. In 2025, she performed stateside in Anthropology at the World Machine Theatre in Los Angeles.

Gracie McGonigal

Gracie McGonigal plays Hazel, a housemaid for the Bridgerton family, but on U.K. stages she’s often front and center. She is currently appearing as Little Red Ridinghood in Into the Woods in the West End. Her other recent theatre credits include Fangirls at the Lyric Hammersmith and The Little Foxes at the Young Vic.

Julie Andrews

Any list of theatre luminaries in the Bridgerton cast must include Julie Andrews. Though she never appears on screen, she lends her distinguished voice to Lady Whistledown.

Andrews famously originated Broadway starring roles including Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Queen Guinevere in Camelot, and Victoria Grant in Victor/Victoria, earning Tony Award nominations for all three performances.
