This bold new version of Jean Genet's "The Maids," written and directed by Kip Williams is a psychological thriller that becomes a timely parable of modern identity and the destructive desire to both emulate and annihilate those we idolize.
With their mistress away, two maids act out their darkest fantasies as they obsessively role-play her murder, until performance and reality begin to blur. As the sisters livestream and filter their escalating role-play, the audience becomes complicit followers peering into a world spiraling thrillingly out of control.
The production stars Bridgerton breakout Yerin Ha as Madame, opposite House of the Dragon’s Phia Saban (Solange) and Olivier Award nominee Lydia Wilson (Claire).
