The ghost with the most is resurrected! Alex Brightman will return to Beetlejuice for the musical's Broadway return this spring. Brightman originated the titular role when the musical first premiered on Broadway in April 2019, and he received a Tony nomination for Best Actor for his performance.

Beetlejuice is an adaptation of the cult classic 1988 film. The title character comes upon a newly deceased couple and teaches them the ropes of the afterlife — namely, how to haunt their own house. Meanwhile, Beetlejuice also strikes up an unlikely friendship with Lydia, the goth teenage daughter of the house's new owners, and tries to use her to bring himself back to life.

Beetlejuice is set to resume performances April 8 at the Marquis Theatre. The musical played for just under a year at the Winter Garden Theatre and was shuttered prematurely amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Additional casting for the return engagement has yet to be announced.
