A Particle of Dread extends limited run to 4 Jan 2015

The Signature Theatre's upcoming production of Sam Shepard's drama A Particle of Dread, directed by Nancy Meckler, which will open at Signature Center's Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre on 23 November 2014, following previews from 11 November, has already extended its limited run by two weeks and is now booking through to 4 January 2015.

The cast includes Oscar nominee Stephen Rea, Tony Award winner Brid Brennan, Lloyd Hutchinson, Jason Kolotouros, Matthew Rausch, Aidan Redmond and Judith Roddy.

A Particle of Dread is described as "a dark, fragmented, modern-day take on Oedipus Rex". The play premiered in Derry, Ireland and is produced by Signature Theatre and Field Day Theatre Company.

The creative team behind A Particle of Dread features scenic design by Frank Conway, costumes by Lorna Marie Mugan, lighting by Michael Chybowski, sound design Jill BC Du Boff and original music by Neil Martin.
