A Family Thing by Gary Lennon to open on B'way in 2015

It has been reported that the production company Big Block Entertainment, who were recently represented by 'Heathers: The Musical' off-Broadway, have announced a 2015 Broadway run for Emmy Award nominee Gary Lennon's play A Family Thing.

Synopsis: "Three estranged brothers - once bound by a childhood in turmoil on the streets of Hell's Kitchen - reunite to settle unfinished business. A Family Thing is an exploration of the way family binds us together and tears us apart."

The world premiere of this production was staged at Los Angeles' Echo Theater in 2013 and was received warmly by the LA press: The Los Angeles Times called the show a "twisted comedy, fiercely performed... for all its wildness, 'A Family Thing' has a heart."

Gary Lennon is perhaps best known as the writer of hit comedy-drama series 'Orange is the New Black' on Netflix. His other TV credits include 'The Shield' and 'Justified' for FX. His plays include 'Blackout', ':45' and 'The Interlopers'.

Venue, cast, creative team and dates are still to be confirmed.
