60th Annual OBIE Awards will take place on 18 May 2015
The American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative weekly newspaper, have now announced that The 60th Annual OBIE Awards will take place on 18 May 2015 at Webster Hall in the East Village. The co-hosts for the event are still to be announced.
For the past 60 years the OBIE Awards have honored the best of Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway. Structured with informal categories that change annually, The OBIE Awards recognize persons and productions of excellence. Unlike most theatre awards, the OBIE Awards have no nominations.
Sponsors of this year's Awards include Athletics, Casa Nonna, Clear Channel Spectacolor, The Howard Gilman Foundation, The Trine Group, and Barefoot Wine & Bubbly.
