2022 Tony Awards set for June at Radio City Music Hall
The ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
Broadway's biggest night has set a date. After switching from its usual date and venue last year amid the pandemic, the 2022 Tony Awards will return to Radio City Music Hall this year on Sunday, June 12. The awards typically take place in mid-June each year and have been at Radio City nearly every year since 2013.
The 2020 ceremony, which was postponed, was held on September 26, 2021 at the Winter Garden Theatre.
The ceremony will take place from 7 to 11 p.m., with the first hour consisting of exclusive content available only on the Paramount+ streaming service. The awards presentation will begin at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast live on both CBS and Paramount+. This year's broadcast is the first to be presented live from coast to coast.
Broadway shows that opened between February 20, 2020 and April 28, 2022 will be eligible for awards this year. Nominations will be announced May 3.
