Michael James Scott stars as the Genie in Aladdin on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Michael James Scott is known for originating the Maggots Guy in The Book of Mormon and the Minstrel in Something Rotten! on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include Hair (original revival company), Elf, The Pirate Queen, All Shook Up, Mamma Mia!, and Tarzan. He received a Helpmann Award in 2017 for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for originating the Genie in Aladdin in Australia.
