Harriet Sansom Harris

Harriet Sansom Harris stars as Queen Aggravain in the Encores! revival of Once Upon a Mattress at New York City Center from January 24 to February 4, 2024.

Harris has a prolific theatre career, with her Broadway credits including It Shoulda Been You, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, and Present Laughter. Her most famous stage role, however, is as Mrs. Meers in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she won a Tony Award. Once Upon a Mattress reunites Harris with her co-star Sutton Foster, who also won a Tony for playing Millie's title role.

On TV, Harris has played Bebe Glazer on Frasier and Felicia Tilman on Desperate Housewives, among other roles.
