
Ani DiFranco stars as Persephone in Hadestown on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre beginning February 9, 2024.
DiFranco is best known for her long, Grammy Award-winning career as a folk musician. She is one of the first musicians to create her own record label, Righteous Babe Records, and has released more than 20 albums through it. She won a Grammy in 2004 and has earned an additional eight nominations in her career.
In 2010, DiFranco sang the role of Persephone on Anaïs Mitchell's original Hadestown concept album. Now, she makes her Broadway debut as she returns to the role on stage.
