'Twas the Night Before by Cirque du Soleil is at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square in December 2021. 'Twas the Night Before tickets will be on sale on New York Theatre Guide soon.
'Twas the Night Before... is a show that reimagines Clement Clarke Moore's classic poem "A Visit From St. Nicholas," better known as "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," with acrobatics, in tried-and-true Cirque fashion. The story takes place before Santa even arrives, centering around a girl named Isabella who no longer gets excited about Christmas and is over the hype that everyone else seems to have. That all changes when she's thrust into a different world where classic Christmas characters from the poem come to life. With acrobatics, tricks, and some holiday magic, these characters let Isabella look at Christmas in a whole new way, and it might have the same effect on audiences, too.
Cirque du Soleil was founded in 1984 in Montreal, Canada and has since achieved worldwide fame with its high-flying circus shows. The company's shows have received, all in all, three Drama Desk Awards, seven Primetime Emmy Awards, a Daytime Emmy Award, a Juno Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, an induction into Canada's Walk of Fame, and more.
'Twas the Night Before... is the latest of nearly 50 shows in Cirque du Soleil's global performance history. 2021 marks the second time the show 'Twas the Night Before New York performances will take place, following its 2019 New York premiere, which was also at the Hulu Theater.
Tickets to 'Twas the Night Before will be available soon.
