York Theatre Company announced today that, as part of its 50th Anniversary celebration, it would present a return engagement of Enter Laughing: The Musical, once again directed by Stuart Ross. Previews will begin at the York's home at Saint Peter's on May 7, 2019, ahead of an official opening on May 16 and a limited engagement through to June 9, 2019.

Synopsis: "Based on Carl Reiner's autobiographical novel and Joseph Stein's stage adaptation, this hilariously tuneful musical careens through the misadventures of star-struck, stage-struck, woman-struck teenager David Kolowitz, who pratfalls his way into manhood via the theatre. Enter Laughing: The Musical is the perfect show for anyone who has ever had a dream of stardom, an overbearing mother, a song in their heart, or a laugh in their soul."

The musical adaptation of Enter Laughing features a book by Joseph Stein, with music & lyrics by Stan Daniels.

York Theatre Company first presented the musical in the fall of 2008 and now produces its off-Broadway return in association with Riki Kane Larimer and Alene Daniels.

Casting and creative team information will be announced at a later date.
