Soho Repertory Theater has announced its 2021-22 season, which kicks off in November and goes through June. It includes three full-length productions, including two world premiere plays and one New York premiere.

The season opens with the world premiere of while you were partying, written by Peter Mills Weiss and Julia Mounsey with Brian Fiddyment. It is a comedy show, in which they create a play with characters who combine the themes of the play with Mounsey and Weiss's own personal stories. The show runs November 3-28, and its live performances will be supplemented with a stream of the show on Twitch.

Next is Hansol Jung's Wolf Play, presented in association with Ma-Yi Theater Company. The play, making its New York premiere at Soho Rep, was inspired by a series of Reuters articles about people using internet message boards to find new homes for unwanted children from around the world, a phenomenon that coincided with the push to legalize same-sex marriage. The play ties these movements together in a story that centers around themes of family, how to get one, and who can have one. Wolf Play is directed by Dustin Wills and runs from February 2 to March 6, 2022.

Finally, Soho Rep and The Sol Project will present the world premiere of Notes on Killing Seven Oversight, Management and Economic Stability Board Members by Omar Vélez Meléndez. It is a drag show that follows Lolita, who starts work in the Wall Street office of the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management and Economic Stability Board. She is there in the name of the revolution with "glamour, glitter, and a gun." David Mendizábal directs the production, which runs from May 17 to June 19, 2022.

Prior to these productions, Soho Rep will present three-night engagements of four plays by artists from the company's Writer/Director Lab. These include Blush by Keenan Hurley and Kedian Keohan from September 24-26; A Map to Nowhere (things are) by Talia Paulette Oliveras and Nia Farrell, known as Ta-Nia, from October 1-3; Speak American by Kate Moore Heaney and Divya Mangwani from October 8-10; and Bust by Jeesun Choi and Bryn Herdrich from October 15-17.

Tickets to Soho Rep's season productions will be available soon.
