The Lincoln Center Theater has announced a two week extension for the limited engagement of the LCT3 musical Preludes by Dave Malloy. The production will now play its final performance at the Claire Tow Theater (located on roof of Vivian Beaumont Theater) on 2 August 2015.

The musical, directed by Rachel Chavkin, officially opened on 15 June 2015, following previews from 23 May.

Synopsis: Preludes is "a musical fantasia set in the hypnotized mind of Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov. After the disastrous premiere of his first symphony, the young Rachmaninov suffers from writer's block. He begins daily sessions with a therapeutic hypnotist, in an effort to overcome depression and return to composing."

The cast of Preludes includes Eisa Davis, Gabriel Ebert, Nikki M. James, Joseph Keckler, Chris Sarandon, and Musical Director Or Matias on piano.

The creative team features scenic design by Mimi Lien, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Bradley King, and sound design by Matt Hubbs.
