UPDATE: Chanté Adams, Brandon J. Dirden, Adesola Osakalumi, and Joshua Boone will join the Skeleton Crew cast alongside Rashad, and Osakalumi also choreographs. The rest of the creative team includes set designer Michael Carnahan, costume designer Emilio Sosa, lighting designer Rui Rita, sound designer Rob Kaplowitz, and projection design by Nicholas Hussong. Kaplowitz and Jimmy Keys aka "J. Phylicia Rashad will star in the Broadway premiere of Dominique Morisseau's Skeleton Crew, and a performance schedule has also been confirmed. Skeleton Crew will begin previews at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre from December 21, with an opening night on Jan. 12, 2022.

Set in 2008 Detroit, Skeleton Crew follows the lives of employees at an automotive factory whose futures hang in the balance. The world premiere was staged at the Linda Gross Theater with the Atlantic Theatre Company in May 2016, and in a review for New York Theatre Guide, the show " sings the song of Detroit, [Morisseau] is writing an original American story."

The Tony Award-winning actress Phylicia Rashad will star in Skeleton Crew, best known for playing Lea Younger in A Raisin in the Sun. Ruben Santiago-Hudson directs, whose own work Lackawanna Blues will premiere on Broadway this fall. Further casting and creative team is to be announced.

Manhattan Theatre Club have also confirmed dates for How I Learned to Drive. Previews will begin at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on Mar. 29, 2022, ahead of an opening night on Apr. 19, 2022. Mary-Louise Parker and David Morse will star, with direction by Mark Brokaw.
