Manhattan Theatre Club announces complete cast of Dan Cody's Yacht

Dan Cody's Yacht, written by Anthony Giardina and directed by Doug Hughes, begins performances at New York City Center's Stage I on May 15, 2018.

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced complete casting for its forthcoming world premiere of Dan Cody's Yacht, written by Anthony Giardina and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, which will begin previews at New York City Center's Stage I on May 15, 2018, before an official opening on June 6 and a limited engagement through to July 8, 2018.

The cast includes Kristen Bush (as Cara Russo), Meredith Forlenza (as Pamela Hossmer), Laura Kai Chen (as Alice Tuan), Rick Holmes (as Kevin O'Neill), Roxanna Hope Radja (as Cathy Conz), John Kroft (as Conor O'Neill), Jordan Lage (as Geoff Hossmer), and Casey Whyland (as Angela Russo).

Synopsis: "In a small Boston suburb, a single schoolteacher is struggling to get by when the wealthy father of one of her students surprises her with a financial proposal that could change her daughter's life. Suddenly, their worlds collide in ways that open up the question: what truly separates the haves and the have nots? Is it wrong to seize an incredible chance, even if the circumstances seem questionable? Loosely inspired by a passage from 'The Great Gatsby,' this timely new play probes the troubling relationship of finance to educational opportunity in American life today."

The creative team behind Dan Cody's Yacht features scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Jen Schriever, original music & sound design by Fitz Patton, and dialect coaching by Ben Furey.

Anthony Giardina and Doug Hughes previously worked together on the Lincoln Center Theater production of 'The City of Conversation' in 2014, which went on to earn a Drama Desk Award nomination for "Outstanding Play." He was also represented off-Broadway by the 1978 Playwrights Horizons production of 'Living At Home.'

Manhattan Theatre Club's 2017-2018 season also includes the current Broadway revival of Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan, starring three-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, as well as the world premiere of Donja R. Love's Sugar in Our Wounds at the Studio at Stage II at New York City Center from June 5, 2018.

Dan Cody's Yacht Tickets are available now for performances from May 15 through to July 8, 2018.
