Lauren Patten completes the cast of Second Stage Theater's Days of Rage
The world premiere of Days of Rage begins performances at the Tony Kiser Theater on October 9, 2018.
Lauren Patten is the final cast member to star in Second Stage Theater's upcoming world premiere of Days of Rage, which is set to begin previews at the Tony Kiser Theater on October 9, 2018, before an official opening on October 30 and a limited engagement through to November 25, 2018.
She takes on the role of Jenny and joins previously announced Tony Award nominee Mike Faist (as Spence), Tavi Gevinson (as Peggy), J. Alphonse Nicholson (as Hal), and Odessa Young (as Quinn).
Ms. Patten made her Broadway debut with the 2015 premiere of Fun Home and was also a part of the Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning ensemble of The Wolves in 2016.
Days of Rage is written by Steven Levenson, who won a Tony Award in the category of "Best Book of a Musical" in 2017 for Dear Evan Hansen (which also featured Mike Faist). The production is directed by Trip Cullman, who most recently helmed Second Stage Theater's Broadway premiere of Lobby Hero.
Synopsis: "Against the backdrop of an endless, unwinnable war raging halfway across the world, and a polarizing president recklessly stoking the flames of racist backlash at home – a generation of young people rises up to demand change from a corrupt political establishment. It is October, 1969 and unbeknownst to the rest of the world, three 20-something radicals are busy planning the impending revolution from a quiet college town in Upstate New York. But when two strangers appear, disrupting the group’s delicate balance, new dangers and old wounds threaten to tear the collective apart. By the Tony Award-winning writer of Dear Evan Hansen, Days of Rage is a timely new play about means and ends, ideals and extremes, and the perils of changing the world."
The creative team behind Days of Rage features scenic design by Louisa Thompson; costume design by Paloma Young; lighting design by Tyler Micoleau; sound design by Darron L. West.
Days of Rage Tickets are available now for performances from October 9 through to November 25, 2018.
